Resident Instruction Assistant Professor or Resident Instructor of Computer Science Department

The University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) invites applications for the position of non-tenure track resident instruction assistant professor or resident instructor in the Computer Science Department. We are seeking candidates with excellent knowledge in core CS areas including database management systems and operating systems. Applicants must have a graduate degree in Computer Science or in a closely related field. Ph.D. degree is required if hired as a resident instruction assistant professor, while a Master’s degree is sufficient if hired as a resident instructor.

Finalists in the Adobe AIR Competition
9/22/2007. Students in the department are among the three finalist teams in the RJI-Adobe AIR competition: Team Rubik: Carli Li, Mi Li, Bandhana Katoch and Sandeep More (CS) who proposed a neighborhood-based information service; Team Contributr: Jonathan Coffman, Ian Graves (CS), Brian Grinstead (CS) and Chad Godsey (IT) who proposed a desktop app to simplify the process by which newsroom employees and community members can share multimedia files; Team Wallowr: Adam Hosp (IT), Matt Allen (IT), Danny Beard (IT) and Nick Leonard (IT) who proposed an app to aggregate all of one's social networking and other "personal news" sources. The students in the CS or IT programs are labeled. Each team received $5000 to do their projects to compete for the $10,000 award.
