Biography
Dmitry Korkin is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Missouri-Columbia. His interests in bioinformatics are towards characterizing structure, function, and evolution of protein assemblies as well as predicting host-pathogen interactions. His research in machine learning involves developing a symbolic approach for inductive learning and classification and its applications. Before coming to MU, Dr. Korkin was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California at San Francisco and Rockefeller University. His research is supported by the University of Missouri.
