2/8: The IT Minor has been approved by the campus.
The IT Minor is designed to meet various needs of a broad spectrum of
students from many units on campus, including engineering, journalism,
business, art & science, medicine, etc. As information technology plays
more and more important roles in many fields, it becomes clear that
graduates from varying fields often have a great need to have computer
competency in addition to the knowledge they gain in their major. The
IT Minor is tailored to enhance students' understanding/skills of
information technology and help prepare students for their career
