Overview:    This course surveys technologies and issues in the design and implementation of effective Web sites.   The emphasis in on building and documenting web sites and their code.

Textbook:    none; several recommended books, with extensive use of found Web pages

        
Prerequisites:    CS 2050

    3.  Javascript                                                 (1.5 weeks)
    4.  XML                                                         (1.5 weeks)
5.    Perl and CGIs                                            (4 weeks)
6.    MySQL                                                       (2 weeks)

This course will attempt to provide a comprehensive
understanding of the evolution, the technolo-
gies, and the tools of the Internet. In particular,
issues pertaining to the World Wide Web and
Multimedia (HTML, CGI, Web based applica-
tions) will be discussed in detail. Prerequisites:
CS 2050.
