CS4750/7750 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE I
Syllabus Overview: A general introduction to the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that provides exposure to a broad range of core AI topics.
Textbook: Russell and Norvig Artificial Intelligence: A Modern Approach (2nd Edition) Prentice-Hall, 2003
Prerequisites: CS 203, Stat 320 or both Math 61 and Stat 150 and at least Junior standing)
Topics: 1. Introduction (1 week) 2. Intelligent agent (1 week) 3. Problem solving (3 weeks) 4. Logical systems (3 weeks) 5. Planning systems (3 weeks) 6. Uncertainty – probability and decision theory (2 weeks) 7. Learning (2 weeks)
